We only spent a total of 24 hours hours in Milan, but if you manage your time right, you can fit in a lot in a short amount of time.
Milan is a big city… A huge city, actually. It’s roughly the size of Paris, France or Dallas, Texas. But the tourist sights are located relatively close together, so you can easily hit the high points in one day, and it will leave you wanting to return someday to see even more of this city.

I had heard so much about the Duomo di Milano that it was a MUST SEE on my bucket list. If you do nothing else in Milan, visit the Duomo. It truly is the most spectacular cathedral I’ve ever laid eyes on.
We had exactly 24 hours in Milan. My first piece of advice if you have a limited amount of time there: don’t get lost. It’s easy to get lost, and it only wastes time. With only one day in Milan, you can’t waste time trying to figure out where you are. Trust me on this one, I’ve been there, and it’s not fun.
